I am a devotee of Wabi-Sabi aesthetics. Finding beauty in imperfection, impermanence, and the incomplete. Appreciating the modest, humble, and unconventional. My compositions are most commonly deconstructed elements found in nature.
My visual art are studies in open perspective, asymmetrical balance, color relationships, and textures.
I am an abstract expressionist with influences from Jackson Pollock, Rothko, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, and Zao Wou-Ki.
I have worked in oil pastels and acrylics since 2003. Mostly self-taught, having studied fine arts in Seattle, WA and the creative process at the Firetree Studios in Austin, TX.
My work is exhibited in several private collections in Austin, Seattle, San Francisco, La Jolla, Houston, Philadelphia, and Sacramento.
